Counselling for Children
Supporting Young Nervous Systems with Safety, Connection, and Play
Therapy that meets kids where they are
Children and teens don’t always have the words to express what they’re feeling, but their behaviours, bodies, and play often tell the story. Counselling services for Children are grounded in Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT).... (then keep the rest of the sentence as is). Sessions also incorporate Sandtray EMDR, as needed, to help children process scary, difficult, or uncomfortable memories and emotions.
Through a combination of relational safety, nervous system awareness, and developmentally appropriate interventions, sessions help kids build resilience, process difficult experiences, and feel more at home in themselves.
My Approach Includes:
Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT)
An innovative model that blends neuroscience, attachment theory, and play to help children regulate emotions, nurture self-attunement and connection
EMDR Sandtray Therapy
A gentle yet powerful trauma therapy that combines the structure of EMDR with the creativity and expression of sandtray work—ideal for younger clients who may struggle with traditional talk-based methods.
Nervous System Regulation Tools
These tools help children and teens learn to recognize cues in their bodies, understand their emotional states, and build self-regulation tools they can carry into daily life.
Emotion Regulation Support
I help children understand and name their emotions, build tolerance for big feelings, and learn tools for calming their minds and bodies when they feel overwhelmed.
For Parents & Caregivers
It is important to state that children don’t heal in isolation; supporting parents is an essential part of the process. I offer regular parent consultation sessions to share insights, tools, and guidance so you can feel empowered in supporting your child’s emotional world at home.

Creating a Safe, Playful, and Empowering Space
Each session is shaped by your child’s unique needs, pace, and interests. Whether through toys, movement, sandtray, or conversation, sessions create a space where children feel safe to express themselves, explore their experiences, and build emotional strength.
